The Center of InsurTech, Thailand (CIT) has initiated the CIT Mini-Workshop project, aiming to provide C-level executives from leading insurance companies, tech firms, the Thai Life Assurance Association, and the Thai General Insurance Association with opportunities to stay abreast of technology trends, exchange their experiences, and build business connections. This project is designed to propel technology adoption and drive transformative changes within the insurance industry, contributing to its future growth. Additionally, the CIT Mini-Workshop features a series of seminars covering the following topics:
1. "Using OIC Sandbox to Create Opportunities Led by Innovation" - this first workshop consisted of three sessions enabling the CIT to collect feedback and comments for enhancing the Insurance Regulatory Sandbox (IRS) project.
1.1 "OIC SMART SANDBOX" led by the Senior Director of the Insurance Products Policy and Development Department, the Head of the Market Conduct Supervision Section, and the Chief Expert of the Center of InsurTech, Thailand (CIT) 1.2 "NEW OIC Sandbox Web Portal" led by the Chief Expert of the Center of InsurTech, Thailand (CIT) 1.3 "OIC SMART SANDBOX OF THE YEAR" led by the Head of the Market Conduct Supervision Section 2. "The Mega Trend 2023" – this second workshop comprises three sessions focusing on emerging technology trends. 2.1 "Role of CIT: Connecting the dots to build Thai Insurtech Ecosystem" led by Miss Apichaya Thavichaigarn, Head of Center of InsurTech, Thailand (CIT) 2.2 "New Technology Trends: Innovations that could dominate the future" led by Mr. Ariya Banomyong, CEO & Founder of Transformational company limited 2.3 "Reinventing Business Model: Mega Trend to Reality" led by Mr. Napat Jatusripitak, Managing Director of Thailand Future Foundation, Mr. Amarit Franssen, General Secretary Thai Fintech Association, and Mr.Ekachai Parichatkanon, Director of MarTech Association (Thailand) 3. "Emerging InsurTech Products" – this session covers two sessions focusing on technological integration to enhance work processes and customer services. 3.1 "Thailand InsurTech Fair 2023: STRENGTHENING SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH INSURANCE INNOVATION" presented by Miss Apichaya Thavichaigarn, Head of Center of InsurTech, Thailand 3.2 "Workshop: Exploring the Future, Innovating Insurance with Emerging Technologies" led by Dr.Monsinee Keeratikrainon, Strategic Sales Lead of Google Cloud at Google (Thailand) 4. "Practical Embedded Insurance" – this fourth workshop includes two sessions that allow participants to share their knowledge and exchange experiences regarding Embedded Insurance and Generative AI. 4.1 "Embedded and Digital Insurance: an efficient customer experience" led by Mr.Ben Assanasen, CEO of Tune Protect Thailand, and Mr.Suthep Ang, Head of Actuarial Pricing and Technical Lead at Tune Protect Thailand 4.2 "Innovative Marketing Trend Leading to Success for Insurance Industry" led by Dr.Narain Chutijirawong, Executive Director at Deloitte Thailand 5. "Innovative Ideas for Insurance" – This workshop focuses on generating innovative concepts in insurance to drive the adoption of InsurTech, enhancing operational efficiency across various processes within the industry. 5.1 "InsurTech Summit 2024 Overview" presented by the Head of the Center of InsurTech, Thailand (CIT) 5.2 "Transforming Legacy Systems: Innovative Ideas for the Future" presented by Dr.Thatchapol Posayanont, covering emerging trends and technologies in the insurance industry, as well as approaches for achieving a full-scale digital transformation 5.3 "Leveraging Technology for Successful InsurTech Expansion in Southeast Asia" presented by Ms.Cindy Thongson, Head of Marketing (APAC), ITC Asia, Singapore 6. "Strategizing Generative AI Applications for Regulatory Practices" – presented by Mr.Surasak Lhueng-u-sakul, Vice President of Digital Marketing & Technology, Marketing Association of Thailand – to build understanding and propose practical approaches for implementing Generative AI among employees at the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) |
